Hold it against a white background in daylight to judge colour honestly, look through a 10x loupe for growth features and small natural inclusions (glass shows round bubbles and swirl lines instead), and ask for the weight on a scale in front of you. For anything expensive, a report from an independent gemmological laboratory is the only way to be certain of the species and any treatment.

Traditionally worn for protection and blessing. It is traditionally worn on a ring on the right hand in silver, as recommended in Islamic tradition, or a tasbeeh These are traditions rather than tested effects; what we stand behind is the stone itself.

Care

Aqeeq is durable; wash with mild soap and water and dry with a soft cloth. Keep dyed stones out of strong sunlight.
