The short answer: GemStore sells natural loose gemstones only, we inspect every stone before it is listed, we tell you about any treatment we know of, and a certificate of authenticity is available on request. If a stone turns out not to be as described, you can send it back within 7 days of delivery.

Below is exactly what that means in practice, and what we do not claim.

One Stone, One Listing, Real Photos

Every product on GemStore.pk is a single, individual stone. We photograph that stone as it is, without swapping in a "representative" image, and record its carat weight on the listing. What you see is the piece that is packed and sent to you. Natural stones carry small inclusions and slight colour variation, and we would rather show you those than hide them.

What We Look At Before a Stone Goes Online

We inspect every stone ourselves before listing it. The checks focus on the things that matter to a buyer:

  • Colour - hue, tone and how evenly it is spread across the stone
  • Clarity - visible inclusions, fractures or surface damage
  • Cut and finish - symmetry, polish and any chips
  • Weight - the carat figure that the price is based on

Stones that are glass, synthetic or simply not what they were sold to us as do not make it onto the site.

Treatments: Told Plainly

Many fine gems are routinely enhanced, and that is normal in the trade. Ruby (yaqoot) and sapphire (neelam) are commonly heated to improve colour and clarity, and emerald (zamurd) is traditionally oiled to make fine surface-reaching fissures less visible. When we know a stone has been treated, the listing says so. We will never describe a treated stone as untreated.

Certificates and Independent Testing

A GemStore certificate of authenticity is available on request for any stone you buy. If you want a second opinion from outside the shop, independent laboratory testing can be arranged on request too; message us before you order and we will explain the process for that particular stone.

Pricing You Can Check Yourself

Each stone is priced individually, and the per-carat rate is simply the price divided by the carat weight. That makes it easy to compare two stones of the same type side by side.

Inspect Before You Pay

We deliver to every city in Pakistan by insured, tracked courier with Cash on Delivery. When the parcel arrives you may open it and look at the stone before paying. After that, our 7-day return policy still applies if the gem is not as described. Delivery details are on the shipping page.

What We Don't Promise

We keep our claims to things we can back up. We don't trace stones to a specific mine, and we don't offer lifelong guarantees or repurchase schemes. What we do offer is careful inspection, honest descriptions and a straightforward return window. Questions about a specific stone? Get in touch and we will answer before you buy.

Guarantee card, certificate or lab report?

These are three different documents. Knowing which one you have tells you who is vouching for the stone and how.

GemStore guarantee card

The guarantee card is our written promise as the seller. It states that the stone is natural, that it matches its listing, and that our 7-day return policy covers it. It records the stone's variety and carat weight so the card matches the piece you received. It is a promise backed by the return window, not a test result.

In-house certificate

A GemStore certificate of authenticity is available on request for any stone you buy. It sets down what we found when we inspected the stone: the variety, weight, measurements, colour and any treatment we know of, such as heating in a ruby or sapphire, or oiling in an emerald. It is a careful record, written by the shop that sold the stone.

Independent lab report

A lab report comes from a gemmological laboratory that has no part in the sale. The lab tests the stone with instruments and states what it is, whether it is natural or synthetic, and which treatments it can detect. Some labs also give an origin opinion. Independent testing can be arranged on request for any stone, and you see the report before you pay.

Which one do you need?

  • Everyday stones such as amethyst, Aqeeq or moonstone: the guarantee card and the 7-day return window are usually enough.
  • A stone for a gift or a family record: ask for the in-house certificate.
  • Higher-value stones such as Pukhraj, Neelam, Yaqoot, Zamurd or Marjan: ask for an independent lab report before you pay.

To request a certificate or a lab report, send the stone's link on WhatsApp +92 308 887 3888. The full guide is on our lab-certified gemstones page.

Common questions

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly — we answer on WhatsApp during working hours.

Are all your gemstones natural?

Yes. GemStore lists natural loose gemstones only, and every stone is inspected before it goes online. Glass and synthetic stones are not sold.

Will I get a certificate with my stone?

A certificate of authenticity is available on request for any stone you buy. Just ask when you order or message us on WhatsApp.

Can my stone be tested by an independent lab?

Yes, independent lab testing can be arranged on request. Contact us before ordering so we can explain how it works for that stone.

Do you sell heated or oiled stones?

Some stones, such as heated rubies and sapphires or oiled emeralds, carry treatments that are normal in the trade. When we know a stone is treated, we say so on the listing.

Is the photo the actual stone I will receive?

Yes. Each listing is one individual stone, photographed as it is, so the stone in the photos is the one we send.

What if the stone is not as described?

Return it within 7 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging, for a refund or an exchange.
