How buying from GemStore works in Lahore

We sell online and over WhatsApp. Each listing in the GemStore shop is one individual natural stone, photographed as it is and priced on its own, so the stone in the pictures is the stone that reaches you. The per-carat rate is simply the price divided by the carat weight, which makes it easy to compare with any quote you get in the bazaar.

1. Pick a stone on the website, or send us your budget, the stone you have in mind or your astrologer's recommendation on WhatsApp and we will reply with suitable stones from current stock.
2. We dispatch from Gulberg within 1-2 working days by insured, tracked courier. Delivery anywhere in Lahore takes up to about 7 working days, the same timeline as the rest of Pakistan.
3. Inspect, then pay. With Cash on Delivery you open the parcel in front of the rider, look at the stone, and only then hand over the money.

Shipping is a flat Rs. 500 per order, however many stones are in the parcel.

Three checks before you buy anywhere in Lahore

The city's gem trade is old and large, and quality runs from excellent to outright glass. Whoever you buy from, these habits protect you:

• Take the stone into daylight. Showcase lights make almost anything sparkle. Step to the door or a window.
• Get the treatment in writing. Heated sapphire and ruby, or oiled emerald, are normal and acceptable when disclosed. Glass-filled ruby and dyed stones sold at natural prices are not. Names like "Kashmir neelam" or "Burma yaqoot" mean little without a laboratory report.

Every GemStore stone is natural, we inspect every stone before it is listed, and known treatments are disclosed. A certificate of authenticity is available on request, and independent lab testing can be arranged if you ask. The authenticity page explains both.

Wearing a stone in a ring

Many Lahore customers want their stone set in silver, often with an open back so the stone touches the skin, as astrological custom prefers. If you would like a custom silver ring setting, message us on WhatsApp and we can discuss what is possible for your stone.

Returns, if the stone is not right

You have 7 days from delivery to return a stone for a refund or an exchange, as long as it is unused and in its original condition and packaging, with its certificate if one was issued. Refunds are processed within 3-5 business days once the returned stone has been checked; Cash on Delivery refunds go by bank transfer. Full terms are in our return policy and shipping policy.
