Choosing a stone your jeweller can work with

Hardness decides where a stone is happiest. A ring takes knocks every day; a pendant or earrings much less so. A rough guide, using the Mohs hardness scale:

Gifts for engagements, anniversaries and Eid

A loose natural stone, set to your own design, makes a personal gift. Sapphire and ruby are the classic choices for a ring that will be worn for decades; aquamarine and tourmaline give generous colour at larger sizes; opal, moonstone and pearl suit softer, modern designs. Tell us the occasion and budget on WhatsApp and we will send photographs and weights of suitable stones from current stock.

Astrological stones

Many Lahore families follow the tradition of wearing a stone recommended by an astrologer, most often pukhraj for Jupiter or neelam for Saturn. Send us the recommendation, including any carat weight, and we will suggest natural stones that fit. These are traditions and beliefs, so we describe the stone rather than promise an outcome. What you get with every stone

• One natural stone per listing, photographed as it is, so the stone that arrives is the one in the pictures.
• An individual price. The per-carat rate is the price divided by the carat weight.
• Known treatments disclosed, such as heating of sapphire or oiling of emerald.
• A certificate of authenticity on request, and independent lab testing arranged if you ask. See our authenticity page.

Delivery to DHA

1. Order in the shop, or WhatsApp us your requirements and choose from the photographs we send.
2. We pack the stone at our Gulberg base and dispatch it within 1-2 working days.
3. The insured, tracked courier delivers to any phase of DHA within about 7 working days. We do not offer same-day delivery or meet-ups.
4. With Cash on Delivery, you open the parcel and inspect the stone before paying.

Shipping is a flat Rs. 500 per order. If the stone isn't right, return it within 7 days of delivery, unused and in its original packaging, for a refund or an exchange; that also gives time for an independent check before your jeweller sets it.
