Aqeeq rings, set to order
Aqeeq Ring Price in Pakistan: What You Are Paying For عقیق کی انگوٹھی کی قیمت
In short: An aqeeq ring's price is the stone plus the silver ring around it, and the stone is usually the larger part. Natural colour, a clean glow, a good polish and a well-proportioned cut raise it, while dyed aqeeq should cost far less. Silver weight matters too, since 925 sterling silver is bought by weight and moves with the market.
An aqeeq ring carries two prices in one: the stone, and the silver ring around it. GemStore sells natural aqeeq as loose stones, each photographed and priced on its own, and sets the one you choose in a 925 silver ring made to your size. You order on WhatsApp and pay cash when the parcel reaches you.

What decides the price of an aqeeq ring
Four things make up the final figure. When you compare quotes from different shops, ask for each one separately so you can see where the money goes.
1. The stone
The stone is usually the largest part of the price. Aqeeq is agate, a banded form of chalcedony, and it comes in many colours: red and brownish red (often sold as Yemeni or Iranian aqeeq), black, white, yellow, green and the banded Sulemani. Even natural colour, a clean glow when the stone is held up to light, a good polish and a well-proportioned cut all raise the price. Dyed aqeeq is common in bazaars and should cost far less than natural colour; we disclose dyeing and other known treatments on every listing. Our post on Yemeni vs Iranian aqeeq explains why origin names move prices so much.
The table below is built from our own aqeeq listings and refreshed monthly.
| Weight | Weights | Stones | Per carat | Per ratti |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| All Aqeeq in stock | 13.6 – 16.9 ct | 4 | Rs 180 – Rs 210 | Rs 160 – Rs 190 |
In Pakistani bazaars aqeeq is often quoted per ratti. The standard gem ratti is 0.91 carat, while a jeweller's sunari ratti is smaller, about 0.61 carat, so always ask which one a seller means. Our carat to ratti converter lets you compare like with like, and the monthly price guide shows how aqeeq sits against other stones.
2. Silver weight
We set stones in 925 sterling silver, which is 92.5 per cent silver alloyed with copper for strength. Silver is bought by weight, so a heavy men's ring with a thick shank costs more than a slim one. Silver prices also move with the market, which is one reason we confirm the total on WhatsApp when you order instead of printing a fixed figure.
3. Design
A plain bezel ring with a smooth shank needs the least work. Patterned shoulders, a raised crown or decorative claws add labour. Large aqeeq stones, especially the big ovals many men prefer, also need a deeper, stronger cup and more silver.
4. Handmade or cast
A cast ring is made from a mould: it is quicker, consistent and usually cheaper. A handmade ring is built by a karigar around your particular stone, which suits unusual sizes and shapes and gives a closer fit, but takes more labour. We will tell you which method suits the stone you pick.
How aqeeq is traditionally worn
In Muslim tradition many men wear aqeeq in a silver ring, often on the right hand, on the ring finger or the little finger. Silver is the usual choice for men because many scholars advise men against wearing gold; for any religious question, ask a scholar you trust. Women wear aqeeq in silver or gold as they prefer. Our page on aqeeq for men covers the tradition in more detail.
Getting the ring size right
A ring that spins or pinches gets taken off and forgotten in a drawer. Measure the finger you plan to wear it on, in the evening when fingers are slightly fuller, using our ring size guide. If you fall between two sizes, choose the larger one for a broad men's band.
How ordering works
- Pick a stone. Browse aqeeq and the agate categories below, or send us your budget and preferred colour and we will suggest a few stones.
- Send your size. Message the stone link and your ring size on WhatsApp, with a photo of any design you like.
- We confirm on WhatsApp. We reply with the design, the full price for stone and ring, and the time needed. Nothing is made until you agree.
- We set and dispatch. The finished ring goes by insured tracked courier and usually takes about 7 working days to reach you.
- Pay on delivery. Open the parcel, check the ring, then pay the rider in cash.
Caring for an aqeeq ring
Aqeeq is fairly hard, around 6.5 to 7 on the Mohs scale, and handles daily wear well. Take the ring off for heavy work, keep it away from bleach and strong cleaners, and dry it with a soft cloth after washing. Silver darkens with time; a silver polishing cloth brings the shine back. Store the ring apart from harder stones so they do not scratch each other. Our gemstone care guide has more detail.
