Description
Madagascar is the source named for this 30.7 carat labradorite, and the stone has a green-gold flash that looks different from the blue-dominated pieces we usually list. It is a good one to pick up and rotate in your hand.
Labradorite takes its name from Labrador in Canada, where it was described long ago, yet much of what reaches Pakistani buyers today comes from Madagascar. The effect comes from thin lamellae inside the feldspar that bend light, so the flash switches on only at certain angles, then fades and returns as you move the stone.
Because the stone is large, the green-gold shows across a good area. Look at it in daylight and indoors before deciding. It carries a Mohs hardness of 6 to 6.5, which is workable for pendants and for rings that are treated kindly.
The price is Rs. 4,910, about Rs. 160 per carat. Few labradorite pieces are treated, but ask us for what we know about reference GSN-LB-13 before buying. Our labradorite listings show other stones for comparison, and our labradorite buying guide explains what to check.

This particular stone
This listing is one natural labradorite with a weight of 30.7 Carat. Its price is Rs. 4,910 — roughly Rs. 160 for each carat. Origin: Madagascar. Treatment: treatment not tested. Quote reference GSN-LB-13 when you message us about it. The photographs show this exact stone, so what arrives at your door is the piece you chose on screen.
Above twelve carats you are into collector territory. Pieces this heavy are usually set as pendants or kept loose, and they are prized for the size of rough they came from. If you do set it, choose a bezel or a heavy claw to protect the edges.
On the Mohs scale labradorite rates 6 to 6.5. That is middle-of-the-road hardness: comfortable in pendants and earrings, and in rings worn with some care. Store it apart from harder stones so it does not pick up scratches, and wipe it with a damp cloth rather than scrubbing.
Whoever you buy labradorite from, make sure of three things: the stone is natural rather than lab-grown, glass or glass-filled; any treatment is stated in writing; and the weight quoted is the weight of the finished stone. We check every labradorite for those three points before it is listed, a certificate is available on request, and because you pay on delivery you can look at the stone — or have it tested — before any money changes hands.
